A studio built around the record, not the roster.
Most independent labels sign a finished song. We'd rather be in the room while it's being made. KOMPX Records is a label built on top of a working studio in Bangalore — one console, one live room, one artist at a time — so the people who make the record and the people who release it are the same people.
That means a small roster by design. We're not chasing volume or a release calendar; we're chasing records we'd still want to hear in ten years. Every artist we sign gets studio time, not just a distribution deal.
Love Cheats Me, our first release, is the clearest example of how we work: written, tracked, and mixed in-house, then mastered for both streaming and a limited vinyl run — because we believe a record made this way deserves to exist on both formats.
